This year we are trying something new:  We will be in canoes instead of kayaks and

purposely not push ourselves for big mileage days.  We will enjoy relaxing,

exploring more, being outdoors with now long-time friends, and do some fishing.

Note that there are two Withlacoochee Rivers in Florida.  The one we are taking is

sometimes referred to as the “northern Withlacoochee River” and it originates in Georgia,

northwest of Valdosta and eventually merges with the Suwannee River

at Suwannee River State Park west of Live Oak, Florida.

Below are maps that show our paddle plan.

We will begin near Valdosta, Georgia, and end where the

Withlacoochee River meets the Suwanee River in Florida.
