Last Waltz Tour Feb 20 – 28, 2026 (Photo AI Generated. Stew, Sam, and Dave) Paddle Across Florida Trip for 2026: We kayaked the Choctawhatchee River in Florida, around 95 miles west of Tallahassee, FL. This may be our last big wilderness trip due to Dave and Stew getting older and it just isn’t safe for us to be out in the middle of nowhere paddling around. Thus, the title “The Last Waltz.” We will hopefully put together future trips where we stay in one place and explore. By the way, everyone in our group are Rock Stars! This may be the last trip report and this website will be going away in the next year or two. We hope it has helped some with planning their trips and inspired others to do trips. Another adventure and great time with great friends.	This trip is dedicated to Jack Roberts who was an original member of Paddle Across Florida.  He passed away March 3, 2019.  We loved him like a brother – we miss our Cousteau. You are always with us. Get out of your comfort zone !!! We hope seeing and reading about our endeavors will enthuse and energize you to organize your own events.  We never thought we would or could do many of these trips until we did the first one.  YOU CAN TOO!! Now we are always looking for the next challenge.  There are plenty of resources listed on the trip reports and you are welcomed to contact us for information.  Be Safe – But Not Too Safe If you have the opportunity to mix a trip with a cause, we encourage you to do so.  It is good to give back to your community and support worthwhile causes.  Most of all, just get out there and do it!
